What is Camp West?
Located in the heart of Monterey, California, Camp West is an annual youth camp serving young people from the ages of 7-21.
Why Camp West?
Comprised from a coalition of pastors, our burden is to offer a camp that will impact the lives of apostolic young people with powerful preaching and life changing moves of the Holy Ghost. Connecting one another with people of like precious faith and engaging in one accord is pertinent for the growth of this gospel. This truth is bigger than our local assembly and Camp West is a place to link our faith.
Camp West as a Corporation
The name of the corporation is CAMP WEST, INC. It is a California non-profit religious corporation with principal offices at 1210 Ford Street, Redlands, California
This corporation is a non-profit 501C3 religious corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the California Nonprofit Religious Corporation Law primarily or exclusively for religious purposes. The specific purposes for which this corporation is organized are religious ones: To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Camp Meetings concentrating on the Youth between the ages of 7-21.
Camp West is an annual youth camp which meets annually for five days during the month of July. It has two segments that operate simultaneously at the Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, California:
1. Junior Camp: Youth between the ages of 7-11.
2. Senior Camp: Youth between the ages of 12-21.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Bible is the absolute infallible word of God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe that there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 Timothy 3:16).
We believe that humanity is by nature born into sin and fallen from God’s grace through sin (Romans 3:23, 5:12).
We believe that through God’s grace, Salvation is available to all humanity and that God desires that no one would be lost (Ephesians 2:8, 2 Peter 3:9).
We believe that salvation comes through obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Obeying the gospel includes, repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus’ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21, Romans 8:10).
We believe that all believers are called to both inward and outward holiness. (2 Corinthians 6:17, 7:1, Hebrews 12:14).
We believe that we are called to a life of service. Our service to God is exemplified by our dedication to prayer. We are dedicated to prayer and service (John 13:15-17).
We believe that all believers have a mandate to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8).
ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY
Organizations must have goals and values. Values are not descriptions of the work we do or the strategies we employ to accomplish our mission. The values underlie our work, how we interact with each other, and which strategies we employ to fulfill our mission. The values are the basic elements of how we go about our work. They are the practices we use every day in everything we do.
Two values that guide Camp West are accountability and transparency.
We define accountability and transparency as follows:
Accountability is an obligation or willingness to explain Camp West actions to its stakeholders.
Transparency is an obligation or willingness to publish and make available critical financial data about Camp West.
We believe that if Camp West is accountable and transparent, our donors will know that we are acting out of integrity. Our donors will trust us with the resources that are placed under our authority. We believe that if Camp West will follow good governance, make decisions and take actions that are ethical, though we might make mistakes, our donors will allow us to learn from our mistakes because they know we are trustworthy.

Governance Policy:
Duties of the Board of Directors
Though not exhaustive, the following list gives examples of some of the board’s duties:
Commit to prayer, corporately and individually.
Identify and monitor the organization’s mission and purpose.
Comply with all legal requirements placed upon the organization and approve all legally binding resolutions.
With the organization’s top leader, chart the long range strategy of the organization.
Monitor the organization’s financial status and approve the annual budget in advance and maintain oversight of its implementation, or establish policies that enumerate the applicable budgetary constraints.
Approve the engagement of the organization’s independent certified public accountant or equivalent to perform the annual audit, review, or compilation.
Assure the organization’s financial vibrancy.
Assure full disclosure of all potential conflicts of interest within the organization and the board.
Serve as ambassadors for the organization—interpreting its mission to constituencies and enhancing its public image.
Responsible Governance.
Shane Golden is the acting President/Chairman of the Board. His duty is to carry out the mission of Camp West under the direction of the Board of Directors. He is accountable to the Board of Directors.
Financial Overview:
Camp West is a nonprofit recognized as tax-exempt by the IRS under Section 501(c)(3).

Camp West Privacy Policy
Since our inception, our stakeholders have entrusted Camp West with their personal information. Whether you are a Pastor, donor, a volunteer, an organization, participant or a community partner, our commitment to conduct business honestly and protect your privacy is at the heart of our privacy policy.
We respect your confidentiality
Camp West requires that your personal information be held in strict confidence. We use your information only for its intended business purpose. We do not sell or trade your information to other organizations or individuals.
We protect your information
Camp West takes every possible measure to insure that your information is not compromised in any way. If you are a Camp West participant, and with your permission, we may provide a list of participants to those attending the camp. Other than as indicated, no one other than Camp West staff has access to your information.
Our privacy policy extends online to our website. Online event registration information is transmitted via a secure server using encryption technology.
If you choose to send us email, we may retain the contents of your email message, our reply and your email address as part of our ongoing participant satisfaction efforts. We reserve the right to contact you after you have contacted us and may send future email and/or surveys to you about Camp West. You may notify us via email if you wish to discontinue electronic communication.
We keep accurate records
We keep your personal information as accurate, complete, and up to date as is required to fulfill the purpose(s) for which you provided us with your personal information. Upon request in writing we will remove your personal information from our databases, except where legislation or regulation requires our retention of it (for example, charitable giving history tied to income tax receipts.)
